Chef Anthony LoGerfo

My name is Anthony LoGerfo, I started The Mobile Chef with the intention of making things a little bit easier for today’s busy life style.

Coming from an Italian background, food has always been a big part of my life. I can remember standing beside my grandmother in the kitchen, tasting everything she created — it was always something to look forward to. As the years passed I learned more and more about cooking from my mother, father, aunts and uncles, which led me to seek out my first cooking job at age 17 — I was hired as a prep cook in an Italian Gourmet Shop. It was there I learned the basics for all cooking under a CIA (Culinary Institute of America) Graduate. He taught me the correct way to prepare and present an array of exotic dishes.

From there I moved on to a fast-paced, full service restaurant. It was then I realized I could never love any other profession more than cooking. As the years passed I decided that I should enroll in a course in the culinary arts to broaden my knowledge of the field. In 1991 I graduated from the French Culinary Institute in lower Manhattan under the world famous Master Chef Jaques Pepin. It was there that I learned the most important lessons about traditional French cuisine, food preservation, safety and technique. These staples have sculpted the Chef that I have become today and rule the service that I bring to you.

Bon Appetit,

Anthony LoGerfo
